Wow -- that is a long haul! 9 hours to Milan, 4 hours wait in Milan, 2 1/2 hours to Cluj, and then an hour and a half drive to Targu Mures. Thank goodness Anca's father (Victor) and brother (Cristian) were waiting for me. I was dead tired! It was impossible to sleep since the plane to Milan was so warm. I made it though, and both pieces of my luggage made it too -- which was a miracle!
I think it would have been pretty difficult to fend for myself at that point, so it was a real blessing to have a ride waiting for me.
