MEETING ADI & SIMONA

What fun to finally meet Adi, the little boy I sponsor through Livada Orphan Care. It's hard for me to believe that he is 12 years old. He is SO small. He seems like a great kid though, and he was trying to get me to speak Romanian. He knows a little English. I had sent him some of my pictures of my parrot Buddy, and one of the first things he said to me was "I like Buddy -- especially when you said he waves his foot and says bye, bye." He asked me all kinds of questions including --how do you like Romania? --If you arrived on Fri., why didn't you come to visit us Sat.? --Will you come back again? --Are you married? and on and on. The kids are so curious -- it's really funny.

Simona is absolutely adorable. She's so cute and huggable. She is a really sweet 15 year old, soon to be 16 in July. She kept holding my hand and looking at me all the time! It was pretty funny. I haven't communicated by mail as much with her as I have with Adi, but I still feel like I know her through reading the blog postings that her house mom posts.

I've only arrived and they're asking me if I'll be coming again. Simona wanted to know if I'll be coming when they have camp (which is in June, July, Aug). Wish I could, but I don't think so!
